Kalshi August 20-21 Saudi Pro League + La Liga + Copa Libertadores + Europa League Football Match Predictions

Quick update here: I had a very strong run yesterday on Telegram trading on Kalshi, with a combined hit rate of 93.75% across both categories. My Win-Draw-Loss record was a solid 7/8 (87.5%), and my Handicap Direction was a perfect 8/8. Consistency helps keep it all trustworthy, so scores like that are always nice.

Today's Card

There are nine matches on the slate today, and the quality varies a lot. Some are clear mismatches, others are tight, and a few are perfect spots for a handicap lean. The goal is to target value, not volume.

1. Al-Fayha vs Al-Hilal

Al-Hilal are still the stronger side here, and the head-to-head record says it clearly. In their last 18 official meetings, Al-Hilal have 11 wins, 4 draws, and only 3 losses, which gives them a strong overall edge. That is the kind of record you trust before you trust anything else.

The one thing that slightly complicates the picture is Salem Al-Dawsari being out with an injury. That does matter because it reduces Al-Hilal's attacking threat and makes a big-margin win less attractive. So while the away win remains the cleanest pick, this does not look like a game to chase a heavy victory.

Best lean: Al-Hilal win
Safer angle: Al-Fayha +2 handicap
Score focus: 0-2, 0-1, 1-2

2. Rayo Vallecano vs Alavés

This one looks tighter than people might expect. Rayo are the nominal home side, but the match is not being played at Vallecas, which removes a big part of their usual home strength. That alone brings the confidence level down a bit.

Still, Rayo have the better recent edge in this matchup, and the market does slightly lean their way. The issue is that Alavés usually play cautiously, and that kind of setup often turns into a match where one goal decides everything. I would not overcomplicate this one.

Best lean: Rayo Vallecano win or draw.
Handicap focus: Rayo Vallecano -1 loss handicap / draw handicap
Score focus: 1-0, 1-1, 0-0
Total goals: 1 or 2

3. Corinthians vs Rosario Central

This is the kind of second leg where patience matters more than aggression. The first leg ended 0-0, so the tie is still open, and if this one ends level again in regular time, it goes straight to penalties. That naturally keeps both teams a little more careful than usual.

Corinthians should be more proactive at home, but they have some real issues too. Yuri Alberto is out, and even if Memphis starts, he is not expected to last the full match. That limits how aggressive Corinthians can be in the final third.

The first leg already showed that both sides are prioritising risk. That usually means the first goal sets the tone for the entire game.

Best lean: Corinthians win or draw.
Handicap focus: Corinthians -1 loss handicap / draw handicap
Score focus: 1-0, 1-1, 0-0
Total goals: 1 or 2

4. Kairat Almaty vs Anderlecht

Anderlecht look better on paper, but this is not a simple away-day. It is the first official meeting between the two sides, and the travel to Kazakhstan adds another layer of difficulty. Kairat know the conditions, the pitch, and the rhythm better than Anderlecht do.

Anderlecht's squad depth and attacking quality still give them an edge, but their away efficiency in Europe has not been especially convincing. They have only scored one goal in each of their previous two qualifying away matches, which tells you this may not be a free-scoring performance.

That is why the safer angle is to sit on the handicap and the goal line rather than a pure away-win chase.

Best lean: Anderlecht draw or win.
Handicap focus: Kairat +1 win handicap / draw handicap
Score focus: 0-1, 1-1, 1-2
Total goals: 1 or 2

5. Midtjylland vs Salzburg

Salzburg are the stronger side here, and I like them more than most away favourites on the slate. Their squad ceiling is higher, their attacking pace is cleaner, and their European experience gives them a real edge. If Tabakovic is back in the starting line-up, that makes their forward line even more dangerous.

Midtjylland are tough at home, so this is not a fixture where Salzburg should expect a walkover. But when Salzburg put pressure on teams like this, the defence usually cracks. That is why the away win remains the cleaner call.

Best lean: Salzburg win.
Safer angle: Midtjylland +1 draw handicap/loss handicap
Score focus: 0-2, 1-2, 1-1
Total goals: 2 or 3

6. Trabzonspor vs Ferencváros

Trabzonspor have the kind of home atmosphere that can swing a European tie. They also have enough squad quality to control the game if they start well. On paper, they should be the side with more momentum.

But this is not a perfect spot. There are injuries in the squad, and the team still does not look fully settled. That means the margin for error is smaller than the market may suggest.

The most realistic read is that Trabzonspor can still avoid defeat, but the game may stay close.

Best lean: Trabzonspor win or draw.
Handicap focus: Trabzonspor -1 loss handicap / draw handicap
Score focus: 2-1, 1-1, 2-2
Total goals: 2 or 3

7. Lech Poznań vs Thun

This is one of the more exciting games on the slate. Lech Poznań are coming in hot, with four straight wins and some serious attacking rhythm. They have been scoring freely, and their recent numbers suggest they are seeing the game very clearly in the final third.

Thun, however, are not the kind of team that shuts games down. Their style is more open, and that usually creates a high-event match. Their recent games have been full of goals, and that makes the over side very interesting.

This is one of the better spots to expect both teams to score and for the match to open up.

Best lean: Lech Poznań win
Handicap focus: Lech Poznań -1 draw handicap / win handicap
Score focus: 2-1, 3-1, 3-2
Total goals: 3 or 4

8. Red Star Belgrade vs Viktoria Plzeň

The biggest edge here is the atmosphere in Belgrade. Red Star at home is always a serious problem for visiting teams, especially in European qualifiers where pressure matters as much as form. The market also leans in their direction, which makes sense.

Still, Plzeň are not a soft opponent. They are organised, they can counter, and they know how to survive in this kind of competition. That is why I would respect the draw cover even while leaning Red Star overall.

Best lean: Red Star Belgrade win or draw
Handicap focus: Red Star -1 draw handicap/loss handicap
Score focus: 2-1, 1-0, 1-1
Total goals: 2 or 3

9. Benfica vs Aarhus

This is the clearest mismatch on the card. Benfica have the stronger squad, better structure, and the kind of attacking depth that can turn one good spell into a multi-goal win. If any home side looks ready to stretch the scoreline, it is this one.

Aarhus may try to stay compact, but that only works for so long when the opponent keeps creating chances. If Benfica find an early goal, this could move fast.

Best lean: Benfica win.
Handicap focus: Benfica -2 win handicap / draw handicap
Score focus: 3-0, 4-0, 3-1
Total goals: 3 or 4

Match Priority

If you are ranking these by strength, the best-looking plays are Benfica, Al-Hilal, Salzburg, and Lech Poznań. Those are the matches where the gap in quality or rhythm feels most reliable. The tighter games are Rayo Vallecano, Corinthians, and Red Star, where the draw cover matters more.

As the big five leagues get ready to kick off soon, this is a good time to stay sharp and keep targeting value instead of forcing volume. The best betting runs usually come from discipline, not noise.
